    The Holsteiner stallion Ocean I by South Pacific out of René by Ramzes combines the three famous Grand Prix jumping blood lines of Silbersee, Cor de la Bryere and RamzesOcean I placed fourth in the $50,000 Oaks International Grand Prix and fifth in the $100,000 USET Benefit Grand Prix in Indio and also placed in the Showpark Fall Classic Grand Prix in 1996.  In 1995 he placed in five Grand Prix during the Desert Circuit Series and also placed in the San Juan Capistrano Classic Grand Prix.  In 1994 Ocean I placed fifth in the Harvest Festival Grand Prix at The Oaks, his introduction to Grand Prix jumping competition.  He placed in the Top Ten in the International Jumper Futurity for Four-Year-Olds in both the Western Regional at Showpark and the Finals at the Devon Horse Show in 1990.  Ocean I came out of retirement for a short period of time in 2002 and among other things was the Open Jumper Reserve Champion at The Oaks/Blenheim Fall Classic. 

Ocean I’s son, Ocean Flyer, was the Best Type and Most Grand Prix Potential Champion and Reserve Best Performance Champion in the IJF Western Regionals for Four-Year-Olds in 2003.  Ocean I is a full brother to Jumper Champion and 2002 South Pacific Memorial Award runner-up Ocean II and a half-brother to Jumper Champion Stand AloneOcean I’s  brothers and sisters-in-blood have won and consistently placed in all levels of jumper competition, the Hunter Divisions, and the International Jumper Futurity.  They include, among others, Grand Prix winner South Shore, Grand Prix placed Surprise, Derby winner Sydney, and Jumper Champions Lu Lu Belle, Southern Flight, Sahara, Sierra, Giselle, Southern Breeze, Sea Spray, Shaman, South Beach, Superman, Saveur de Cour, Southern Crown, and Southern Pride; the 2003 National PHR Silver Stirrup Champion and Reserve Six-Year-Old Jumpers Samoan Chief and Sail Away; the 2000 IJF Western Most Grand Prix Potential Champion South Bay; Hunter Champions Southern Lights, South Sea, Sebastian, Island Queen, and Summer Tan; the 2001 USA Equestrian Zone 10 and Zone 10 PHR/Silver Stirrup Two-Year-Old Hunter Breeding Champion and 2000 Zone 10 PHR/Silver Stirrup Yearling Hunter Breeding Champion Ondine; the 2001 Zone 10 PHR/Silver Stirrup Two-Year-Old Hunter Breeding Reserve Champion and 2000 Zone 10 PHR/Silver Stirrup Yearling Hunter Reserve Champion Oahu; the 1997 AHSA Zone 10 Three-Year-Old Hunter Breeding Champion Johanna; and Hunter Breeding Champions Gabreal, Good & Plenty, Southern Cross, Romantic Affair, Reina Del Mar, Over the Rainbow, Pacifica and Polynesia.

Ocean I is nominated for the International Jumper Futurity.
